If you have multiple contacts with the same name and phone number on your iPhone, you may have duplicate contacts. Duplicate contacts can be a nuisance because they take up space and can be hard to find. In this article, we will show you how to find duplicate contacts on your iPhone and delete them.
To identify duplicate contacts, open the Contacts app on your iPhone and tap the Edit icon at the top of the screen. This will open the contact list in alphabetical order. If two or more contacts have the same first and last name, but different phone numbers, they are likely duplicates. To determine whether a contact is a duplicate, simply compare their phone numbers. If they are exactly matched, that contact is a duplicate.
